In the northern part of the island near the river Mirna and a few kilometers after entering Croatia is Verteneglio (in Croatian Brtonigla), a characteristic village surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. The village is located a few kilometers from the Adriatic Sea which represents its western border and therefore lends itself to an ideal destination for those looking for a holiday where they can combine peace and relaxation by the sea.
In the various cellars of the surroundings you can taste both excellent wines and delicious olive oils produced on site from four different types of Istrian land: red, black, gray and white. To visit the parish church of San Zenone and its 36-meter bell tower and the church of San Rocco.
